Ever since the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 mysteriously vanished on March 8, 2014, many questions have remained unanswered and new theories have emerged. Recently, there have been a couple of new developments regarding the missing aircraft and what may have happened.
According to an engineer whose wife and two children vanished with the plane, a mysterious 200 pound load was only added to the flight list after the aircraft had taken off. This could possibly support the theory that a stowaway was snuck onto the plane. Ghyslain Wattrelos told Le Parisien newspaper that French investigators came across the mysterious load when they were reading through the plane’s baggage and passengers list. In addition to the questionable 200 pound load, “a container was also overloaded, without anyone knowing why,” Wattrelos stated.

Since the government officially ended their search for the missing aircraft, France is the only remaining country that is still doing a judicial inquiry into the disappearance of the plane, as well as the three missing French passengers – the family of Wattrelos.
Could it have been a simple error of forgetting to add it, or was the mysterious cargo purposely left off the list until the plane was already in the air? It’s still unknown as to who put the mysterious cargo on the list and why it took so long to be added? Normally, it’s the pilots who take care of the distribution of the cargo as well as the passengers on the plane to make sure that the center of gravity is in the right place, which adds even more suspicion that the pilot, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, had something to do with the disappearance of the plane.
While it is known that 200 kg of lithium batteries were among the plane’s cargo, the full list of what exactly was on the plane has yet to be released. All that’s known is that the rest of the cargo was “radio accessories and chargers”. It’s still unclear as to what the “radio accessories” consisted of.

In other recent MH370 news, investigators are confident that the plane was in control by someone until the very end as the aircraft’s strange turns could have only been performed manually. In fact, it was the French investigators who said that the pilot was the one who was in control “until the end”. They studied a “considerable amount” of flight data which revealed that “some abnormal turns made by the 777 can only be done manually”.
While there is much speculation that it was the pilot who deliberately downed the plane, it could have also been hijacked, although “there is nothing to suggest anyone else entered the cockpit,” stated a source close to the inquiry. It could have even been taken over electronically from a station on the ground, but again, there is no evidence to prove that theory either. We will never know for sure until the wreckage and the black box is recovered. If they’re ever found…
